At Cathedral Mountain Lodge, we want to make sure that you are well prepared to experience what the Rockies has to offer. Below are some tips and facts to help you prepare for your trip.

Where is Cathedral Mountain Lodge located?
Cathedral Mountain Lodge is located in Yoho National Park, right across the BC/Alberta Border near Field, British Columbia. The property is tucked away at the bottom of Yoho Valley Road, right off the trans Canada highway, just 20 minutes west of Lake Louise and approximately 1 hour from Banff.

What is a Parks Pass, and how do I get one?
All visitors looking to stay in Canada’s National Park system must have a valid parks pass for the duration of their stay. All passes can be purchased either ahead of arrival, or at all visitors centres in Field, Lake Louise, Banff, and Jasper.

When is Check-in/Check-out?
Check in time on day of arrival, is 4:00pm MST, and check-out time on day of departure is 11:00am MST.

Do I receive complimentary canoeing at Moraine Lake Lodge?
Yes! Guests of Cathedral Mountain Lodge receive complimentary canoeing at Moraine Lake. Parks Canada has restricted access to Moraine Lake for the 2023 season and you can no longer drive your vehicle to Moraine Lake. If you are wanting to visit Moraine Lake you will need to purchase tickets on the Parks Canada shuttle. The shuttle departs from the Park and Ride located at the Lake Louise Ski Resort. Shuttle reservations will be available beginning on April 13th, with additional seats released for purchase 48 hours before departure. We recommend planning ahead to avoid disappointment. Does Cathedral Mountain Lodge have Spa Services or Hot Tubs?
No unfortunately, Cathedral Mountain Lodge does not offer onsite spa services or hot tubs. However we can refer you to these services in the area.

Is Cathedral Mountain Lodge Pet friendly?
No, Cathedral Mountain Lodge is no longer a pet friendly property.

Does Cathedral Mountain Lodge host large groups/private events/weddings?
Since Cathedral Mountain is a small seasonal property, we do not have the facilities or ability to host large groups or weddings. This is due to many restraints that hinder us from doing so.

When are we open? Dates of operation
Cathedral Mountain Lodge is a summer seasonal property with dates of operation from late may until early October.

Transportation
As a smaller property, Cathedral Mountain Lodge does not offer shuttle services or transportation to/from the lodge. Renting a vehicle is highly recommended to get the most out of your Rocky Mountain vacation.

Unfortunately, CML does not offer facilities onsite for laundry, however, there is coin operated laundry as close as Field!

How do we take advantage of the complimentary canoeing on Moraine Lake?
As a guest of Cathedral Mountain Lodge, you get access to the canoes on the lake. Canoe reservations are not required. On arrival at the lake, head down to the canoe docks during hours of operation. Show the canoe team member your Cathedral Mountain Lodge confirmation, and they will get you all set up! Hours and operation are subject to weather conditions.

Is Cathedral Mountain Lodge a smoke free property?
Yes, Cathedral Mountain Lodge is a smoke free property, however, if guests do smoke, please smoke in an area away from the cabins and the main lodge.
